Two Arizona Elite Baseball Academy athletes earn national recognition and move one step closer to representing Team USA on the international stage.
SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Arizona Elite Baseball Academy (AEBA) is proud to recognize and congratulate Maverick Harwood and Ransom Rasmussen on their selection to the 2026 USA Baseball 12U National Team Extended Training Camp roster.
Following five days of high-level training, competition, and evaluation at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina, Maverick and Ransom were among just 24 athletes selected to advance from an initial group of 36 players competing for an opportunity to represent the United States.
Maverick Harwood, an outfielder and right-handed pitcher from Chandler, Arizona, and Ransom Rasmussen, a catcher from Scottsdale, Arizona, will continue their journey with USA Baseball at Extended Training Camp in South Florida this November.
There, the 24 remaining athletes will compete for one of 18 roster spots on the 2026 USA Baseball 12U National Team, which is scheduled to compete in the WBSC U-12 Baseball Pan American Championship in the Dominican Republic from November 20–27.
A Proud Moment for the AEBA Family
For Arizona Elite Baseball Academy, this recognition represents more than an individual baseball accomplishment. It reflects the dedication, discipline, and commitment these young athletes have demonstrated in pursuing their goals.
At AEBA, our mission has always been to develop complete baseball players through consistent training, purposeful instruction, competitive experiences, and a deeper understanding of how to play the game the right way.
Opportunities like these are a reminder of what can happen when young athletes commit themselves to the process, embrace challenges, and continue working to improve.
While the opportunity to wear USA across their chest is an incredible honor, the journey to reach this point is something worth celebrating in itself.
To Maverick and Ransom: Congratulations on this well-earned recognition. Your AEBA coaches, teammates, families, and the entire academy community are proud of you. Continue competing, learning, and making the most of every opportunity ahead.
We look forward to following both athletes as they take the next step in their USA Baseball journey.
Develop. Compete. Be Elite.
